Plzzz....Tell me the difference b/w NEW THREAD & POST?

If i get No. of theard greater than no. of post.
will i get any benefit of huge no.of threads? or PAYMENT is based on no. of post?

When u start a discussion on a new topic and the topic has been created by u then it is treated as thread but when u send a message in a topic which has been created by someone else than it is a post . but in this site if u create a thread than it will be added in ur post.
