I guess the easiest way to download videos from youtube is through real one player...
You only need to download it which is a light file in real one site.
All videos from all -tube/video sharing sites can be downloaded using this file.
I am happy using it.

You can also use Free Download Manager aka FDM, to download youtube, google and some other video sites' videos easily. There is an option to convert downloaded video to wmv, avi, mpg or extract mp3.
Personally, I use FDM and http://keepvid.com/ to download such videos. |
